Thanks again to NON Magazine! 1.Describe “Inverted Commas” in 3 words. Unconventional, colorful, unique. 2.How can you define an “Inverted Commas” client? What are their main characteristics? Honestly, when I started thinking about INVERTED COMMAS, I wanted anyone to wear my tote bags. I still think of that, I think anyone could rock my tote bags. Canvas tote bags are quite popular right now, for many reasons, you can use them for shopping, to carry your own stuff to work or to school, yet they can be very fashionable.  3.The drawings you make are really creative, where does the inspiration come from? All the drawings, paintings and sketches I make are like my own little world, I usually deal with very simple things, feelings that anyone could have experienced in his own life. So my hope is to reach and to touch more people as possible with my drawings, I hope they could feel what I feel. So inspiration comes from my every day life, anything all around me. 4.What made you decide to put your art in tote bags? As I said earlier, I’ve been into painting for many years, and I’ve often seen those “big” paintings as quite élite, so this time I wanted art to be mainstream, I wanted art to reach anyone, that was the attempt and the aim. I thought tote bags could be used daily by anyone, so it was pretty natural to me to put my illustrations on them. 5.If you could collaborate with any other artist, who would that be? I’ve lots of artists and designers that I admire, so that would be a dream to choose among them. Then I won’t mention anyone; I just think I’d love to collaborate with some young new artist/designer as well, someone passionate and with cool ideas to share mine with and make something unique. It’s something I’d really love to do and I will try to make it possible as soon as possible. 6.What is the best part of your job? It may sounds flattering, but I think the very best part till now has been to view my precious customers and fans actually wearing my tote bags, see how they end up styling them and all the nice words they have for my work. I’ve worked on INVERTED COMMAS for several months before its official birth, so after all this time it’s so rewarding to see someone really appreciate my work. It’s an overwhelming feeling pretty hard to put in words. 7.What are your plans for the next collection of bags? I’m currently working on new designs for a new round of tote bags, I’ve so many ideas but I need to choose the strong ones, the ones that could identify and fit INVERTED COMMAS concept.
